Here is the first set of pages from Rodney the Zombie, Issue #2. I didn't know if I wanted to begin posting this issue or have it printed, but with my move still fresh and still getting on my feet posting seemed the best solution to get this story to my readers.
Previously in Rodney the Zombie, Issue #1 Hitting the Help Wanteds: Rodney happens to be a zombie...and an actor, but has been fired from a movie because he refuses to be a typical zombie; he won't be typecast into a normal role for a zombie or act like every other zombie in the film industry. Upon leaving the studio he waits for the bus, and just his luck, it begins to rain. When he arrives home he proceeds to get drunk in front of the television and fall asleep. He is suddenly woken up by the delivery of the morning newspaper, and decides its time to "hit the help wanteds."
Issue #2 is a continuation of the previous story that Rodney is looking for a job, but there is also an addition to the story to make it more interesting. This is where the real story begins for Rodney. Come back each week and see the story unfold.
This also marks the ending of the old way that I created comics. For issue #1 and #2 I drew on 81/2" x 11" office paper (so the images I drew are actual size when printed), with everyday office pens. Now I draw twice the size of the actual printed page so the images are better and more detailed, and I use proper comic drawing pencils, pens, and inks. Issue #3, is in the new style, and the difference is noticeable and better!
